Kaleido Growth Inc. Today, ("Kaleido"), an innovator in Registered Education Savings Plans (RESPs) since 1964, presents its Sustainable Investment Report for 2023.
This report highlights the activities of the organization and its portfolio managers in terms of sustainable finance, environmental, social and governance (ESG) responsibility, and their efforts to support young people in realizing their full potential.
"We are pleased to highlight, once again, the commitment of all our managers to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment," said Jean-Stéphane Parent, Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Kaleido. "This report demonstrates our commitment to being an agent of change in the investment field. With over $1.9 billion in assets under management, the sustainable investment mandates we assign to our portfolio managers have a tangible impact on companies' operations. "
The year 2023 saw a significant expansion of the sustainable investment offering, with steady growth in the share of green and sustainable bonds in portfolios and notable performance in reducing carbon footprints.
"With the proliferation of responsible investment offerings, it has become crucial to distinguish the relevant proposals from greenwashing," emphasized Parent. "That's why we continue to work with renowned managers and are proud to highlight their outstanding performance, starting with AlphaFixe Capital inc. which, after being awarded at the 2022 Great Canadian ESG Championship, was awarded the ESG 2023 Investment Leader Award by the jury of the publication Investment Executive. "
Finally, with the arrival of Amundi Canada Inc.'s world-renowned team of managers in 2023, the year ahead also looks equally promising. This report highlights Kaleido's ongoing commitment to sustainable investment and the positive impact that financial companies can have on people's well-being, as well as its willingness to collaborate with leading portfolio managers to promote responsible and inclusive growth.
