Appointment to the Kaleido Board of Directors

Kaleido, which has been a pioneer and specialist in education savings since 1964, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michel Després to its Board of Directors.

Over the course of his career, Michel Després has held the most senior positions in public organizations, as CEO and member of the Board of Directors of Retraite Québec, the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail and the Commission des normes du travail. He also sat on the Board of Directors of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and chaired the Forum des dirigeants des grands organismes publics.

Mr. Després has also held various positions as a member of the National Assembly of Quebec. He served as Minister of Labour, Transport and was responsible for the National Capital region. During this period, he was a member of the Priorities Committee, the Treasury Board, the Legislation Committee, the Ministerial Committee on Economic Prosperity and Sustainable Development, and the Ministerial Committee on Social, Educational and Cultural Development.

Finally, Michel Després was made a knight of the Ordre de la Pléiade, a prestigious distinction intended to recognize the merits of personalities who have particularly distinguished themselves in serving the ideals of cooperation and friendship within the Francophonie.

The responsibilities that Michel Després has taken on over the course of his career make him an invaluable asset in supporting and accompanying Kaleido in its growth, the evolution of its business model and the success of its mission.
