Fondation Cégep Marie-Victorin receives a $100,000 donation from Kaleido

February 16, 2023

The Fondation Cégep Marie-Victorin is very proud to receive a $100,000 donation from Kaleido, a pioneer and specialist in education savings. The timing of this event, which took place at the CEGEP in the presence of Isabelle Grenier, President and CEO of Kaleido, Julie Cyr, Vice-President of Marketing and Customer Experience at Kaleido, Nicole Rouillier, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Fondation Cégep Marie-Victorin, and Sylvain Mandeville, Director General of Cégep Marie-Victorin, could not have been better as it was held during the Hooked on School Days. This exceptional donation will be used in the creation of projects to promote academic success, encourage student retention, and support the students of Cégep Marie-Victorin.

The donation will make a big difference for our students by enabling the CEGEP to fund projects such as the following: supporting students in difficult financial circumstances, broadening its assistance resources to support student parents by providing better support throughout their studies, promoting better integration conditions for students by providing them with an environment where they can get involved and pursue their social, personal and sports development through structuring projects, and encouraging academic success, commitment and perseverance through scholarships.

“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Ms. Grenier and her entire team for this contribution. I am also grateful to Sylvain Mandeville for explaining the CEGEP’s special situation and for his commitment to the development of partnerships such as the one we are celebrating today. This donation and the use we intend to make of it are fully in line with the foundation’s objectives of assisting students, carrying out structuring educational projects, and providing scholarships to reward academic success, commitment, perseverance and engagement,” said Ms. Rouillier.

“The desire to learn and perseverance are essential drivers for building the society of the future, and efforts to achieve this requires constant investment in programs to assist and support young people at every stage of their education,” said Isabelle Grenier, President and CEO of Kaleido. “Providing assistance and ensuring academic success are central to our mission, and that is why Kaleido is so proud to contribute to the work of the Fondation Cégep Marie-Victorin and support more students in their college studies,” Ms. Grenier noted.
