Pierre Hamel, Head of the Universitas Investment Committee

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Pierre Hamel as Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Universitas Foundation. Mr. Hamel will also chair on the Universitas Foundation and Universitas Management Inc. Boards of Directors.

Mr. Hamel is an Associate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and of the Certified Corporate Directors. Throughout his career, he worked on many acquisition cases and chaired on several committees, but it was his work with various insurance and investment groups that helped him establish his reputation worldwide.

Established since 1964, Universitas is a pillar in the field of education savings. Our organization promotes education through savings strategies and has over $1,3 billion in assets under management and has paid out close to $700 million in educational assistance payments and returned savings.
